Jaeseung Lim, PhD, is a biotechnology executive and internationally recognized expert in stem
cell science, regenerative medicine, immunotherapy, and advanced cell-based therapeutics.
With more than 20 years of experience spanning R&D, GMP manufacturing, regulatory strategy,
and clinical development, he has advanced multiple cell therapy programs from discovery
through clinical validation and commercialization.
Dr. Lim is the Founder, CEO, and Chief Scientific Officer of Cellatoz Therapeutics, where he
leads the development of regenerative medicine platforms for musculoskeletal and neurological
diseases. His work includes human musculoskeletal stem cell therapies and Schwann cell-
based treatments for peripheral nerve regeneration. Under his leadership, Cellatoz has
established proprietary cell differentiation technologies, robust manufacturing processes, and a
portfolio of preclinical and clinical-stage candidates.
Previously, Dr. Lim served as Chief Scientific Officer of CHA Biotech, where he expanded the
company’s clinical pipeline and strengthened its GMP manufacturing, CMC, and regulatory
capabilities. Earlier, he led immunocellular therapy development at Innocell, contributing to the
Korean approval of Immunecell-LC for liver cancer.
Dr. Lim has extensive experience across preclinical development, Pre-IND, IND, and NDA
regulatory pathways, and Phase I–III clinical development. He has authored numerous peer-
reviewed publications in immunotherapy, stem cell biology, proteomics, and peripheral nerve
regeneration. He is an active member of ISCT, ISSCR, ACTO, and Phacilitate. As a member of
Liferna’s Scientific Advisory Board, Dr. Lim provides scientific, clinical, regulatory,
manufacturing, and commercialization guidance to support the advancement of scalable,
clinically validated regenerative therapies.
